AIGS colored gemstone grading and pricing course 2023

What will I get to learn?

Our course is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in gemological background, enabling students to assess the color, carat, clarity, and cut of a variety of coloured gemstones. 

You'll learn how these factors affect the stones' values and price in the ever-changing marketplace, giving you a skill that is essential for anyone in the gemstone industry and boost that competitive edge as a Gemstone Trader, Jeweller, Buyer, Appraiser, Grader, or Retailer. 

At AIGS, we understand the importance of practical experience, and that's why we offer extensive opportunities for hands-on practice through our vast gemstone sample collection, which includes over 1,000 gem varieties and qualities. 

As part of the course, you'll get the opportunity to embark on a unique two-day Chanthaburi field trip, where you'll gain first hand experience of the industry and visit the town's famous gemstone market and its large number of cutting and enhancement facilities.

 When will this course start?

The AIGS Coloured stone grading and pricing is a 2 week short course. Class timings are from 9am to 4pm. The institute is currently accepting applications for enrollment for the following dates:

21 March - 3 April 2023 (Thai language)

13 June - 26 June 2023 (English language)

21 August -1 September 2023(Thai language)
        22 November - 6 December 2023 (English language)

Can't attend the onsite course in Thailand? 

No problem! We also offer an online course in English, which is self-paced and can be completed within 180 days after enrollment. The online course teaches you all the theory you need to know, and we even offer an optional Practical (onsite) course for an additional fee, so you can complete both the theory and practical components. 

Upon successful completion of the course, you'll receive a certificate from AIGS, a recognized and respected name in the gemstone industry.
